We Bought A Bus!
At the end of May 2023, Mike and I won our bus from an auction site! It was a surreal experience that the dream we had for so long was finally coming to life. The bus was located in Wenatchee, WA, so we hopped on a plane (we lived in California at the time), flew to Seattle, slept in the airport, then took a bus to Wenatchee in the morning. It felt a little crazy but really exciting at the same time.
From there, we needed to get the bus back to California, where we would park it at a storage unit to demo and build out. This, of course, meant a road trip from Washington to California. After a few Walmart and Harbor Freight supply runs, the bus was ready and outfitted with everything we would need to camp out of our skoolie for the trip home. It was a beautiful drive, and we loved the freedom of being able to park up almost anywhere we wanted along the way. We looked at each other, and we knew we had made the right decision. It’s a good thing, too, because there’s no turning back now!
